Of Elves and Tieflings: Tiefling Fighter

This was a hard shoot to get off the ground, despite it being cobbled together from existing costume pieces (aside from the straps for the sword scabbard and the fancy-assed looking belt). When it came time to make the prosthetics, it was right as I discovered my last kit of foam latex had actually gone bad, so it was really difficult to get anything made - and even then, they were far from great quality.

We could only shoot on the weekends, and it seems whatever day was available for the model, was the day with shitty weather. If she was available only on a Sunday, Saturday would be nice, Sunday shitty - and so forth. This went on for three weeks with the window of time she'd be available getting smaller and smaller until June when she wouldn't be available at all.

After three postponing, we finally got the perfect weather, not too hot or cold (the costume had a lot of layers, it was warm enough for winter) and the weather was perfect (just a bit overcast to avoid high contrast and heavy shadows), and then just as I was applying the horns - my Pro-Aide was also on the way to going bad. It had thickened up way too much, still, it was good enough to get the horns on.

Luckily that was the end of the issues and the rest of the shoot went perfectly, maybe even better than perfectly. I'd been wanting to use the Koza Horns for a coloured up photoshoot, normally, I just go with brown horns and skin tones, but I wanted to do something different - I'm glad I did, the model was perfect for this and it was an awesome morning/afternoon.
