Of Elves and Tieflings: Two Elves and a Drow

This is one of those shoots that went through a few changes along the way. Originally it was just the Drow and I'd planned on heading to a place called Drysdale Falls in NS. It's an absolutely beautiful spot and would work great for a medieval fantasy kind of shoot., so great that I wanted to do a little bit more so I added another character...

I threw in a Elf Wizard and we were all set, and then came the fire bans (if you don't know there's a high risk of forest fires in the province of Nova Scotia so they ban people from wandering aimless in the woods) so that idea got scrapped.

We were already on sort of a timeline, our Wizard had a limited schedule and we only had so much time to do this, A lot of complications later and some really good timing, I saw a real estate listing for part of an old attraction here on PEI called Woodleigh Replicas, it's basically scale models of some real medieval castles - pretty unique for the Maritimes...

I'd been trying to get into this place for a few years now, there's lots of annoying back story, but it was up for sale once again, the owners don't even live on PEI, and after a little back and forth with the realtor, we were able to shoot there finally.

So after one postponement we managed to get in there - probably the last time anyone's really going to get to see or doing anything with the place. It's in massive disrepair and totally not safe in some areas. It's surrounded by houses now because the original lot was broken up and sold off into several smaller ones, so now there's a broken old castle in behind several back yards.

It's too bad the place was neglected for so long, there's still some value in what's there, but it it's hard to say what could realistically be done with it that would be worth the massive effort needed to fix it up. Unless you just wanted to own it for yourself and build your own house next to it and just fix it up in your spare time for your own use.

Really glad we got to do a shoot there in any case, I could easily do a few more there, but it's just too much of a hassle for everyone to try again without being a pain in the ass, so I'll take what I got and just leave it at that.
